Messaging Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the Jamboree Learning SMS text messaging program. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to them.
The essentials. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy.
1. The program
Jamboree Learning, a product of JBL Software LLC ("JBL Software," "Jamboree," "we," "us"), operates an SMS text messaging program that sends operational, account, and customer-care messages to people who use the Jamboree platform at the restaurants and hospitality businesses that subscribe to it. Messages are delivered through our messaging provider, Twilio.
Messages you may receive include:
- A task, checklist, or training assignment, and reminders when one is due or overdue.
- Schedule publications, shift changes, shift reminders, and open-shift or coverage requests.
- Alerts for flagged items — an out-of-range temperature, a failed check, a maintenance or supply request.
- Certification and policy sign-off reminders, including expiring certifications.
- Account and security messages, such as verification codes and password resets.
- Replies from our team when you contact support, and occasional service announcements about the platform.
Examples of what a message looks like:
- Jamboree: New opening checklist assigned at Lincoln Park. Due today 10:00 AM. Open the app to complete. Reply STOP to opt out.
- Jamboree: Your schedule for Mar 3–9 has been published. View it in the app. Reply STOP to opt out.
- Jamboree: Your verification code is 402913. It expires in 10 minutes.
This program does not send marketing or promotional text messages.
2. Consent and how you opt in
You are enrolled in one of these ways:
- You enter your mobile number and turn on SMS notifications when setting up your Jamboree account, in your notification settings in the app or web console, or when a Jamboree team member sets your account up at your request.
- Your employer adds your mobile number to their Jamboree workspace. Employers are required by their agreement with us to confirm that each employee has consented to be contacted by text at the number provided, and to pass along these terms.
- You give your number to our team so we can respond to a support or sales request.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Jamboree. If you do not want text messages, you can still use Jamboree in full — assignments and notifications also reach you through the mobile app and email.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your role, your location's configuration, and your own activity — for example, how many tasks are assigned to you or how often your schedule changes. Some users receive only a few messages a month; users in operational roles may receive several in a single day.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Jamboree does not charge you for these messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for each message sent or received according to your plan. Contact your carrier if you have questions about your plan or charges.
5. How to stop messages
You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any Jamboree message. You may also text STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to the number the message came from.
After you send one of those keywords, we will send a single confirmation message and then stop sending texts to that number. If you send any message other than those keywords after opting out, we may reply once more to tell you that you are unsubscribed.
To rejoin, text START to the same number, or turn SMS notifications back on in your Jamboree notification settings.
You can also change SMS preferences at any time in the Jamboree app or web console, or by calling us at (312) 993-6729.
Opting out of text messages does not change what your employer requires of you — training, checklists, and schedule information remain available and due in the app and by email.
6. How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for information about the program and how to reach us. You can also contact our customer care team directly:
- Phone: (312) 993-6729
- Email: team@jamboreelearning.com
7. Carriers and delivery
The program is supported by major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, Google Voice, and a number of smaller regional and prepaid carriers. Carrier support can change without notice, and not every carrier supports every message type.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and to network conditions outside our control. We cannot guarantee that every message is delivered, or delivered on time, and you should not rely on SMS as the only way you receive time-critical operational information — Jamboree delivers the same information in the app.
8. Your mobile number
You agree to provide a mobile number that you own or are authorized to use, and to notify us — or update it in your Jamboree profile — if the number changes or is deactivated. You agree that we may send messages to any number you provide until you opt out or update it. If you give us a number that later transfers to someone else, you agree to tell us promptly so the new holder does not receive messages meant for you.
9. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to enroll yourself, or have permission from a parent or guardian if you are a minor employee enrolled by your employer. You must be the account holder of the mobile number or have the account holder's permission to receive messages at it.
10. Privacy
Your mobile number and messaging data are handled under our Privacy Policy. In short: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties other than the aggregators, carriers, and service providers — such as Twilio — needed to deliver the messages.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the program or the applicable rules change. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the current version at this address. Your continued participation after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
We may also suspend or end the messaging program, or stop messaging a particular number, at any time without notice.
