Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Jamboree Learning collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Effective date: September 15, 2026 · Last updated: September 15, 2026

The short version. We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use it for advertising. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Most of the data in Jamboree belongs to the restaurant group that employs you — we hold it on their behalf.

1. Who this policy covers

Jamboree Learning is a product of JBL Software LLC ("JBL Software," "Jamboree," "we," "us"), a limited liability company located in Chicago, Illinois. We provide a hospitality operations platform — training, scheduling, tasks, inventory, and reporting — through learnjamboree.com, the Jamboree web console at console.learnjamboree.com, and the Jamboree mobile apps for iOS and Android (together, the "Service").

This policy applies to two groups of people:

  • Visitors and prospective customers who use our website or contact us. For this information, Jamboree is the business responsible for it.
  • Workspace users — the employees, managers, and corporate staff of a restaurant group that subscribes to Jamboree. For workspace data, the restaurant group is responsible for the information and decides how it is used; Jamboree processes it on their behalf and under their instructions, under our agreement with them.

If you are an employee and you want your workspace records corrected or deleted, start with your employer. If they ask us to act, we will.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and demo requests: your name, business name, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us in the message.
  • Account information: name, work email address, mobile phone number, job code and role, assigned location(s), language preference, and your password (stored only in hashed form).
  • Work product you create in Jamboree: completed training and quiz results, checklist and task submissions, photos and files you upload, temperature and inventory readings, signatures, availability and time-off requests, maintenance and supply requests, and notes or messages you send through the platform.
  • Support communications: what you send us by phone, email, or in-app support.

Information your employer gives us

Restaurant groups set up their teams in Jamboree. They may provide employee names, work contact details including mobile numbers, job codes, hire dates, locations, certifications, and scheduling data — directly or through a connected system such as Toast.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages and screens viewed, features used, actions taken and their timestamps.
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser and operating system, device model, app version, crash and error logs.
  • Approximate location derived from IP address, and, where a task requires it and you allow it, device location to confirm a check or task was completed on site. You can decline location permission in your device settings.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, payroll bank details, or payment card numbers through the Service.

3. How we use information

  • To provide the Service — deliver training, assign and collect tasks, publish schedules, track inventory and temperatures, and produce reports for your employer.
  • To send operational notifications by push, email, and SMS (see section 4).
  • To authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To provide support and respond to your questions.
  • To generate AI-assisted summaries of submissions and reports inside your workspace. Workspace content is not used to train third-party foundation models.
  • To maintain and improve the Service, diagnose problems, and understand aggregate usage.
  • To meet legal, tax, food-safety, and recordkeeping obligations, and to enforce our agreements.

We do not use personal information for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.

4. Text messaging (SMS) and Twilio

Jamboree sends text messages so that restaurant teams get time-sensitive operational information — a task assignment, a schedule change, a shift reminder, an expiring certification, a flagged temperature, or a one-time security code. These messages are delivered through Twilio, our messaging provider.

What Twilio receives

To deliver a message, we pass Twilio the recipient mobile number, the message content, and the related delivery metadata. Twilio and the mobile carriers process that information solely to transmit the message and report delivery status. Twilio is contractually restricted to using it for that purpose.

Our commitment on mobile data

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, with the sole exception of aggregators, carriers, and service providers — such as Twilio — that are strictly necessary to deliver the messages you asked to receive. Those parties may not use the information for any other purpose.

Consent

We send SMS only to numbers that have been provided for this purpose and have opted in — by the user during account setup or in their notification settings, or by an employer that has confirmed it obtained the employee's consent to be contacted at that number. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing anything from us.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any Jamboree message to stop receiving texts at that number. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (312) 993-6729. Message and data rates may apply. Full details are in our Messaging Terms & Conditions.

Opting out of SMS does not remove you from Jamboree — you will continue to receive the same assignments through the mobile app and email, and your employer may still require you to complete them.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only in these situations:

  • With your employer. If you use Jamboree through a workspace, your managers, corporate administrators, and assigned reviewers can see your training records, submissions, schedule, and related activity, scoped by role and location.
  • With service providers who help us run the Service under written contracts that limit them to our instructions — including Twilio (SMS), our cloud hosting and content-delivery providers, email delivery, error monitoring, and AI processing for in-workspace summaries.
  • With systems you or your employer connect — such as Toast POS, Restaurant365, and ThermoWorks — to exchange the data those integrations require. Once data reaches those systems, their own privacy policies apply.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with applicable law, a subpoena, or a lawful government request; to enforce our terms; or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Jamboree, our customers, or the public.
  • In a business transfer: if Jamboree is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction. This policy continues to apply until replaced by a notified successor policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our public website uses only the cookies and local storage needed to make the site function. The web console uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language and preferences, and keep sessions secure. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent the console from keeping you signed in.

7. How long we keep information

Website inquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable follow-up period. Workspace data is kept for as long as the restaurant group's account is active, and afterwards as needed to meet legal, food-safety, and recordkeeping requirements — some of which require training and temperature records to be retained for a set number of years. When a customer's agreement ends, we delete or return their workspace data according to that agreement. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

Records of SMS opt-outs are kept indefinitely so that a number that has opted out is not contacted again.

8. How we protect information

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, role-based access control scoped by role and location, least-privilege access for our own staff, audit logging, and regular patching and review. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and any required authority as the law requires.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Notifications: adjust push, email, and SMS preferences in your Jamboree profile, or reply STOP to any text message.
  • Access, correction, deletion, and a copy of your data: contact us, or your employer's Jamboree administrator, using the details below. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, normally within 45 days.
  • Non-discrimination: we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a lesser level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
  • State privacy rights: residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Texas, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have rights to know, correct, delete, and appeal a decision about their personal information. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. To appeal a decision we made about a request, reply to our response and we will review it.
  • Biometric information: Jamboree does not collect fingerprints, face geometry, or other biometric identifiers.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If you are a workspace user, we will ordinarily refer the request to your employer, who controls that data.

10. Children and minors

The Service is intended for workplace use and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Restaurants lawfully employ workers under 18; where an employer adds a minor employee to a workspace, that employer is responsible for obtaining any consent the law requires, and we handle that data on the employer's instructions the same way we handle any other workspace data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service or the law changes. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will provide notice through the Service or by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
